Learning outcomes
After completing this module you should be able to:
- Conduct a comprehensive pretravel assessment of travellers to evaluate risk of disease
- Advise patients about simple measures to minimise the risk of traveller's diarrhoea
- Provide up to date advice on malaria chemoprophylaxis
- Appreciate the geographical distribution of important travel related illnesses
- Enable travellers to make informed choices on pretravel immunisations
- Tailor advice to travellers in special situations, for example pregnant women.
