Learning outcomes
After completing this module you should:
- Understand the different categories of malignancies without an obvious primary origin
- Be aware of the existence of carcinoma of unknown primary (CUP) teams, and know when to refer patients to them
- Feel confident to order first line investigations rationally
- Know how to discuss the difficulties and options of this diagnosis with patients and their carers.
