Anticancer chemotherapy in teenagers and young adults: managing long term side effects
The purpose of this activity is to review the common cancers seen in teenagers and young adults (TYAs) and the long term side effects of chemotherapy.
Upon completion of this module you should be able to:
- Recognise common cancers in teenagers and young adults (TYAs)
- Review the fertility implications of chemotherapy as a TYA
- Review the risk of second malignancies in TYAs who have chemotherapy
- Review the neurocognitive and psychosocial effects associated with chemotherapy in TYAs.
