An interactive, video-based module for medical trainees on approaching, analysing, and presenting an abdominal radiograph using a systematic approach.
Learning outcomes
After completing this module you should have the knowledge and confidence to:
- Assess the adequacy of an abdominal radiograph in terms of positioning, coverage, and penetration
- Know the ABDO X system for analysing abdominal radiographs
- Assess bowel gas patterns, soft tissue structures, and bones on an abdominal radiograph to differentiate normal from abnormal features
- Identify abnormal calcification and artifacts on an abdominal radiograph
- Present your radiograph findings to a colleague.
