Understanding unconscious bias

An introduction to unconscious bias looks at the phenomenon of unconscious bias, why it develops and how it can affect our thought processes, relationships and decision-making. Produced in partnership with leading UK business psychology consultancy Pearn Kandola LLP, the course combines re-staged psychological experiments and original drama with expert analysis to examine the impact of bias in the workplace and looks at how to address it at both an individual and organisational level.

Learning outcomes

This training will give a better understanding of:

  • How and why people are biased
  • How unconscious bias can impact on the workplace and on working relationships
  • What we can do to reduce or eliminate bias from our decision-making process
  • How to address bias in specific situations, such as recruitment and performance management.
