After completing this module you should have the knowledge and confidence to:

  • Describe the causes of shock
  • Give a fluid bolus and assess response
  • Describe the emergency management of shock
  • Know how to formulate a differential diagnosis in the shocked patient
  • Understand when to seek help from your seniors.
