Biography
:
Gráinne d’Ancona is the consultant pharmacist for respiratory and sleep medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
and clinical lecturer at King’s College London. She was a member of the BTS/SIGN asthma guideline committee for over 10 years
and was on the board for the RCP National COPD Audit Programme. She has contributed to the development of the NICE asthma
quality standards, as well as several BMJ Learning modules. She is a member of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association respiratory
committee, and has co-chaired the South East London Responsible Respiratory Prescribing Committee and developed national prescribing
and patient guidance for the safe use of inhaled corticosteroids.
